This delicious hot breakfast cereal is made by cooking cracked wheat in milk, and adding a little sweetener and some spices. It is warm and comforting, perfect for starting your day.
¼cup (52 g)Organic cane sugaror sweetener of choice
½teaspoonVanilla extract
½teaspoonCinnamon
⅛teaspoonCardamom
1pinchSalt
Instructions
Bring the milk to a simmer in a large saucepan, whisk in the rest of the ingredients. Cover and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20-25 minutes or until the wheat is tender.If it looks like it’s going to run out of liquid before the wheat is done then add a splash of water or milk.
